Tinorso
The Tinorso has become, since years, the premium wine of the Fattoria Poggio Capponi, even for the awards achieved. Long-lived wine with intense aromas of red and black fruit, jam and spices, of gustatory consistency and persistence.
This wine comes from Merlot and Syrah vineyards that grow on calcareous-clayey lands of the hills around Montespertoli, in Tuscany. The raising system of these vineyards is a low spurred cordon system. Each plant has a limited load of grapes which permits to produce a wine very structured and characterized by a high charge of polyphenols. The grapes, after a maceration of 20 days, completes the malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, where remains in aging from 12 to 18 months before being bottled, and ready to undertake a period of aging in lying-down bottles for about 6 months.
